[Shouto isn't sure what it is, but almost from the second he starts talking he's sure he's said something wrong. Those giant ears flatten back against Katsuki's skull, and he gives him a look that feels like a knife twisting its way into Shouto's guts.

And then he starts snarling, twisting to try and get away, and Shouto knows for a fact he's messed up. This time, though, he's not going to just let Katsuki go. His arms tighten, not hard enough to hurt the small body in his arms, but tight enough to keep him from breaking free as Shouto rapidly responds, shaking his head.]
