[ For the most part, Izuku tries to deal with his moonblessing on his own. It's not all just being too embarrassed to ask for help, or not wanting to bother people, but...that's a huge portion of it. The rest - well, he's just uncomfortable in his own skin whenever Iris is in the sky. And Izuku's features aren't so bad - the change isn't so overwhelmingly complete as it is for some others - but instead are mostly ears and some luminescence and other rabbit-jelly traits; he mostly looks himself, save for the unearthly glowing freckles and bunny ears?
It seems to be made up for, however, with the rest of the traits hitting hard. The emotional stuff, the weird moods and he other physical things that have less to do with animals and more to do with how he feels.
A lot of the time, it's kind of awkward and painful as it goes on, because he just doesn't give his moonblessing what it wants. But near the end of the Iris cycle (which bleeds straight through to the tri-moon cycle, so it's not like the end is in sight yet) Izuku admits he needs a burst of chroma and maybe more than that some blatant affection. Ochako's out and he doesn't want to bother her to come home just for him, so...
