[Conversely, Shoto's been feeling a little strange all month, namely because he hasn't really felt strange. He's seen people struggling with moonblessings all around him, or embracing them, and meanwhile...he's had nothing. No difference at all, no surprise animal parts, no weird feelings--or no weirder than usual--nothing at all. In fact, he's been a little worried about it. What if they made a mistake bringing him here? What if he's faulty, or an error, and they send him home and keep his friends? It's a dumb thought, and he knows it. There's no basis for it. And he's felt the Chroma drain, and been able to replenish his numbers through moonlacing, so it's probably wrong.
But still, it feels a little unfair, in some ways. Which is why he's making a point of studying the moonblessed as much as he can, watching and learning how the different moons affect different people, and keeping a careful eye on the people he knows. If he isn't going to be hit as hard, he should be able to help them, and if it's just delayed for some reason, at least he'll know what to expect. And in the meantime...he just wants to be able to help.
Which is why there's no hesitation at all when that knock comes at his door one night, Shoto answering in his own pajamas, a plain t-shirt and a pair of loose pants. His hair is rumpled from sleep, but as soon as he sees Izuku standing there he seems to come a little more alive, eyes widening as he catches those dark circles in the light of Izuku's...glowing freckles?
There's no question about whether or not Shoto's letting him in. He's already stepping to the side and tilting his head, motioning to Izuku to come in.]
