[On seeing the two bugs, for a long moment Shouto is just confused. Grimm-kun he's used to, but he didn't know there was a second?? He didn't know there could be a second, in all honesty, especially considering what he's been told about how being Grimm actually works.

Grimmchild does a loop, diving into Shouto's chest for their usual hug, which means that Shouto's arms are full when the other perches on his shoulder, making a happy sound. He's almost cross-eyed as he looks at this second, larger bug, but...]

....Grimm??

[Grimm meows something that sounds like agreement and nods. Yes, that's him! He was told he's Grimm now and the Nightmare King wouldn't lie to him.

How people without gods in their heads deal with suddenly being shrunk is a mystery.]

[Truly a mystery! Honestly they're all lucky Shouto hasn't been shrunk down to his five-year-old self, or else they'd all be dead of cute (except perhaps Endeavor, who would probably be dead of less soft and fluffy things.

Fortunately, Shouto's seen this before already! It's cool, he's got this.]

Ah, looks like you got hit with whatever's causing time to go strange...do you and Grimm-kun want to come stay with me until you're you again?

[Grimmchild and Grimm both shake their heads at the first question. Lobco is still herself and is a good roommate, they'll be okay.

At the second question, Grimm gives a 'sort of, it's complicated?' kind of meow. He doesn't remember remember them, but the Nightmare King has caught him up to speed.

This would be easier if he could use his words.]

Okay. As long as you're sure.

[He's sure Lobco is fine, but as he's never actually met her, and Grimm is Family, he's still allowed to worry!

He also seems to understand the chirp just fine. Months of learning to translate Grimm-kun coming in handy.]

Ah--so, even though you're small, you've still got Him in there with you, too? Is that how you remembered me?

[He's doing his best! He may be weird and fleshy and pink, but he's a good boy, as evidenced by the way he is hugging both a Grimm and a Grimmchild carefully to him.]

Well, that's good. He'll be able to help you, until you're...present you? Again. And when you are, I'll come over again so you can show me whatever it was you wanted to show me.

[Not that he's going anywhere now! But still.]

[Tiny Grimm nods, and then meows something that should sound familiar: it's Grimmspeak for 'play with me!'

He is a kid, after all.]

[That particular squeak he knows very well. Grinning, he nods, agreeing to the demand.]

Hide and seek or tag?

[Two chirps means the second one, tag.

Hide and seek wouldn't be very fair when Shouto's a lot bigger than them and can't hide in the places they can. Let it not be said Grimm isn't fair when playing.]

[It's fine! He likes playing hide and seek with Grimm-kun, and he's pretty good at it. In fact, it's half the fun. But tag's a lot of fun, too, and he's actually looking forward to having Grimm join in, even if it's just the once.]

All right. To the beach?

[It's better if they've got room to run--or fly, as it were.]

[Grimmchild cheers, but Grimm makes a sound usually reserved for when it's raining heavily and Grimmchild is complaining about all this gross water being dumped on them. Water bad, do not want.]

[The sound gets a huffed laugh from Shouto, who is just barely resisting the urge to pet Grimm between the little horns on his head.]

Don't worry. We don't even have to get close to the water. It's just easier to play if we're some place I can use my quirk without worrying about hurting anyone. I'll make sure you don't get wet, promise.

Grimm chirps in agreement. He has decided to trust you on this not-getting-him-wet business, please do not betray his trust.]

[Bold of you to to imply that Grimm wouldn't let Shouto pat his head all the time. He starts purring when Shouto does it now, that's as good a Sign of Approval as any.
